President's Report

Julie Hadfield

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is staying cool this summer and getting some work done between World Cup matches.

We finished the session with a lot going on.

We had our elections for the 2026-2027 Atlanta Board of Directors. Congratulations to all board members and thank you for your time and support.

We met our scholarship recipient. We wish her a very successful and bright future.

We held the raffle for the 2026 National Convention contest. Congratulations to Greg Ferguson!

We had our last WOA event of the summer. We had a group of people try their hand at crocheting.

We are currently on summer break. We will resume meetings again in September. That doesn’t mean the board will be taking a break. We will be having a planning meeting for the next session in July. Ester and I went to the Region 3 meeting earlier this month.  If you have any ideas for next session or anything that you want the board to consider during the planning meeting, let me know.

As always, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Code wise, it’s relatively quiet.  Checkout ASPE’s Pipeline Code section here https://aspe.org/pipeline/category/industry-news/codes-standards/  which has links to some other articles/items. Most of the links are currently for IAPMO/UPC and specifically looking for input on the 2030 editions of their code.

That’s it for now.  Have a great summer. Till next time!

Affiliate Liaison's Report

 AAron Siegel | JOE WELSH

Hello ASPE members! A big Thank You to the various Affiliate members who took the time to reach out to the engineering community this year, requesting and encouraging they attend a monthly meeting especially the younger engineers as we look to introduce them to our local chapter. I feel that we successfully accomplished that goal. And finally, many thanks to our chapter affiliates and manufacturers who sponsored monthly meetings, newsletters, and an event during this past year!

We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful summer.

Best regards,

Aaron Siegel and Joe Welsh
